Abstract

|
Retinoic acid(RA) is a hormone-like agent involved in the control of cell differentiation. Endothelin-1(ET-1) secreted from keratinocytes under UV irradiation results in melanocyte proliferation and melanization. Topical RA improves skin
hypermelanosis
caused by UV irradiation. Several studies in vitro to elucidate this mechanism have been performed, but studies in vitro on the effect of RA on hypermelanosis have several limitations.
@ES The results were as follows.
@EN 1. The tyrosinase activity, and the number and length of melanocyte dendrites did not show significant differences between the control group and RA treated group at 48 and 96 hours.
